Head of Disciplines

 

  Vladimir Podobin International Performance Coach in Tumbling and Women's Artistic. Vladimir is Head of Tumbling at Pinewood and also coaches within the other disciplines.
Jeff Saunders High Performance Coach in Women's Artistic. Jeff is Head of Team Gymnastics at Pinewood and where Pinewood is National Champions in the Primary event.
  Charlie Burrows Club Coach in Tumbling and Women's Artistic. Charlie is Head Coach of the Women's Artistic Section at Pinewood which has members in the southern region squad.
  Sarah Webber Club Coach Aerobic Gymnastics. Sarah is the Head Coach of Aerobic gymnastics which includes National Champions and National Squad members.
  Elaine Whyte Senior Club Coach Trampoline. County Judge and Special Needs qualified. Elaine is the Head Coach of Trampolining here at Pinewood and has had gymnasts compete at the highest level at the National Championships in 2006.
  Alex Smith Club Coach General Gymnastics. Alex is the Recreational Manager and also coaches gymnasts in the Pre-School section.
  Debbie Taylor Club Coach Pre-School Gymnastics. Debbie coaches Pre-School in the mornings at Pinewood and is a very experienced and energetic coach.

Hiring of Pinewood Gym Club

   

Pinewood Gym is happy to hire its facilities to other clubs and organisations that require training facilities. To arrange this please call us on 01344 773237 and speak to reception or Email us at enquiries@pinewoodgymnastics.co.uk. Please be prepared to provide the following information.

The day of hire;
Your full name;
The time you would like to start;
Your e-mail address;
Your telephone number;
Your Club or Organisation name;
The date you require to start on.

Rules and Regulations for Bookings/Hiring at Pinewood Gymnastic Club as of Jan 2005
 

Both Gym 1 and Gym 2 are for hire at the discretion of the General Manager.

You must arrange before the date of the booking to go through the health and safety procedures with a Pinewood staff member.

You must pay for your booking no later than 1 week before you are due to use the facilities.

The charge for hiring gym 2 is £25.00 per hour.

If you or your gymnasts break or damage any apparatus in the gym it will be up to you and your club to replace the damaged items.

If you are hiring the gym for a competition you must write a risk assessment and give a copy to the manager including the names of helpers and their stations.

You must ensure that your BGA insurance is up to date and that you have a qualified first aider with you when training or during a competition.

You must also ensure that your qualification covers the skills of the gymnasts you are working with.

Please ensure that you put apparatus back where you found it and that you leave the gym in a reasonable state.

Please ensure that you turn off all electrical appliances that you have used and turn off the lights. During the winter when the heating will be on please turn it down to 13 degrees before you leave.

Please ensure that you have the correct details with you of each gymnast in case of an emergency.

If an injury occurs that is RIDDOR reportable you must inform the general manager and pass on all the details of the accident.

A holding cheque of £20.00 will be required when booking the facility. This will not be cashed unless the gym is left in an unfit state or damage to the premises has occurred.
