About Pinewood Gymnastics Club in Wokingham

Pinewood Gymnastics Club was founded by Lynda Fairbrother MBE in the late 70’s. Pinewood Gymnastics Club is Lyn’s legacy for her passion for the sport.

Lyn was a judge at the Olympic Games in Atlanta, Sydney and Athens. She has judged 12 World Championships and was Chair for the Women’s Technical Committee for Great Britain.

Pinewood Gymnastics Club moved to its first full time, purpose built facility on the site of Pinewood Leisure Centre in 1986.

As Pinewood grew from strength to strength the facility became too small to satisfy the needs of the club. In 1994 a second and even larger gymnasium was built alongside the existing one.

Pinewood has been prominent in delivering gymnastics to the local community for many years and our aim is to provide gymnastics for all.

We pride ourselves on being able to bring the joy of gymnastics to children of every level.

We are fortunate to have an excellent coaching team here at Pinewood Gymnastics Club. Our coaches have all been through the mandatory DBS screening process required by The British Gymnastics Association.

Our coaches are British Gymnastic qualified at a variety of levels to ensure all gymnasts have the best possible experience for their individual ability. We strive to be encouraging, enthusiastic and caring to guarantee gymnasts have the best possible experience in their gymnastics.

Our team of squad coaches are experienced at County, Regional, National and International level. Some of whom have represented Great Britain at International competitions.  We consistently earn National titles year on year.

We are proud to have produced many International Gymnasts that have represented Great Britain in major championships and competitions including World Championships and Olympic Games.
