Holiday Camps at Pinewood Gymnastics

During the school holidays, we run an extensive and varied holiday programme designed to keep children active, engaged, and having fun. Our camps offer the perfect combination of structured gymnastics training, creative activities, and social interaction in a safe and supportive environment. Each holiday period brings fresh activities and themes, so be sure to check the poster below to see the exciting programmes we have planned.

Half Day Camps – Ages 5+

Our half day camps provide three hours of action-packed gymnastics fun, perfect for children who want to experience the thrill of gymnastics without committing to a full day. Under the guidance of our qualified, motivated and friendly coaches, children will rotate through various stations in our purpose-built gymnasium, experiencing different apparatus and learning new skills in a fully structured programme.

The sessions are carefully planned to include skill development on equipment such as floor, vault, beam, and bars, adapted to suit different ability levels. Between the structured activities, there’s plenty of time for games, creative movement, and supervised free practice where children can consolidate the new skills they’ve learned and build confidence at their own pace.

Full Day Camps – Ages 5+

Our full day gymnastic camps are jam-packed with fun and exciting activities suitable for all ages and abilities, creating an unforgettable holiday experience that combines physical activity, creativity, and social interaction.

We start each day with games and ice breakers, giving gymnasts the perfect opportunity to meet and make new friends while building confidence in the gym environment. This welcoming approach ensures that even nervous newcomers quickly feel at home and ready to participate.

Following the warm-up activities, children will experience all the fantastic equipment in our purpose-built gym. Coached by our qualified, friendly and motivated instructors, they will move, roll, jump and spring around the gymnasium. Our primary aim is to perfect each gymnast’s basic skills and build upon these foundations to teach exciting new moves.

Throughout the morning, children will rotate through our comprehensive range of equipment including the beam, bars, vault, trampoline, trampette, air track and sprung floor. We also incorporate lots of interesting side activities and skill stations to keep all gymnasts engaged and challenged at their appropriate level.

After lunch, gymnasts can let their creativity shine as they take part in arts and crafts sessions alongside a variety of outdoor or indoor activities, depending on the weather. This provides a perfect balance to the physical morning session while still keeping children active and engaged.

The afternoon returns to the gymnasium for even more structured gymnastics training, where children can build on the skills learned earlier and try more advanced movements. We finish each day with the gymnasts’ absolute favourite activity – free play time! This supervised session allows children to practice everything they’ve been learning during their time in the gym, but at their own comfortable pace and with their newfound friends.
